While we prepare for the holiday weekend, we wanted to show a glimpse inside of iMobiTrax and how we use it for some of our internal campaigns. Since January, we’ve been using this software to optimize, scale, and develop our mobile campaigns. When formatting your mobile optimized landing pages you want to take every device you’re targeting into consideration. One of the global leader’s in mobile messaging, Acisio recently conducted a study that concluded that most people in the United States use SMS in comparison to other instant messaging services on their devices. 61% of respondents said they own a smartphone today, with 91% of this demographic reportedly using SMS regularly even with various other instant messaging services on their handsets. 65% of these SMS users said they need the service today and 45% of them even said they would be lost without it. In Q1, Android Grabs 51% US Share

Google continued to build on its lead in the U.S. smartphone market as Android increased its share to 51% in the first quarter, up from 47.3% at the end of 2011. According to the latest comScore data, Apple’s iOS grew its share by 1.1 percentage points to 30.7% while RIM dropped another 3.7 points to 12.3%. Microsoft also continued to lose ground, with the Windows Phone falling to 3.9% from 4.7% three months ago. Symbian was flat at 1.4%.
